Philips EE2007 + EE2008 was a complete black / green television and as a child you could only dream of it.
Philips EE2007 foto 2
Even as an adult you can still dream of it because it is still priceless.

So let's make something ourselves. We start with the line oscillator, the coil is in K7 and K8 and a PCB is milled in no time.
Philips EE2007 foto 4
The line oscillator works beautifully so let's move on.
Philips EE2007 foto 5
China was the country where you could have something made, such as a print for the picture tube unit.
Philips EE2007 foto 6
The winding data for the transformer found on a German side.
Philips EE2007 foto 7
And experiment with this.
Philips EE2007 foto 8
Many pulses measured.
Philips EE2007 foto 9
Many more pulses measured.
Philips EE2007 foto 10
Even at different supply voltages.
Philips EE2007 foto 11
Well this was an experiment.
Philips EE2007 foto 12
Adjust some tension.
Philips EE2007 foto 13
Time for some soldering.
Philips EE2007 foto 14
Parts on the PCB.
Philips EE2007 foto 15
connect a Picture tube on it. And light in the picture tube.
Philips EE2007 foto 16
Gives an idea of what's coming from China.
Philips EE2007 foto 17
What tests left and right.
Philips EE2007 foto 18
The loose setup for the tests.
Philips EE2007 foto 19
And yes there is light coming out.
Philips EE2007 foto 20
Print assembled.
Philips EE2007 foto 21
Picture tube on it.
Philips EE2007 foto 22
Everything seems to work.
Philips EE2007 foto 23
A test of the deflection etc.
Philips EE2007 foto 24
The complete picture tube unit.
Philips EE2007 foto 25
The print side of the picture tube unit.
Philips EE2007 foto 26
And this is the picture. It turns out that the transformer is not working properly after all. This is something for later to find out where the problem is.

If you build things yourself, you can also modify things. In this case, instead of a channel selector, I placed two channel selectors on the PCB. The EE black slide switch is now a UHF VHF switch. And a multi-turn potentiometer placed on the place of the tuning capacitor with the same button again. Indicates that your TV is fully tunable. The connectors of the channel selector match the template on the chassis with some extra connectors.

The mid-frequency comes from a normal all-transistor b/w TV from Philips, which was also used by Philips for the construction box.
Philips EE2007 foto 29
And sometimes measuring something quickly gives an idea of how well something works.
Philips EE2007 foto 30
The transistor PCB is also made by myself.
Philips EE2007 foto 31
And a 75 ohm antenna input works great.
Philips EE2007 foto 32
And here the finished TV.
Philips EE2007 foto 33
The surprise is an original picture tube unit for a reasonable price.
Philips EE2007 foto 34
Beautiful, but I have never built the sound part. I just had the parts.
Philips EE2007 foto 35
Enjoy.
Philips EE2007 foto 36
In this movie a demo of tuning the TV.
